Top-manager of Audi has confirmed the development of the track version of the R8 supercar

According to Kepler, a copy of such a car is already built and approved by the VW Group boss Ferdinand Pihom. Nevertheless, the final decision about running supercar into production yet been made. for a car almost the entire current year - the company plans to deliver customers 30 racing R8 in addition to the nearly 25 cars produced in 2009. Such popularity led to think about the Audi R8 GT3 starts in the series.

  Specifications Audi R8 tracks are not announced. According to preliminary data, some body parts of the car will be replaced by carbon, and in the engine compartment is ten-cylinder petrol engine capacity of more than 500 horsepower. Earlier it was reported that the engine will be new items to develop about 570 horsepower. Also supercar will get more aggressive aerodynamic body kit with extra vents and a large rear spoiler.
