American rival Bugatti Veyron show in late March

venom gt.jpg   American company Hennessey Performance Engineering, specializing in tuning cars, released a video teaser of the first own model - Venom GT. The world premiere of the car, which according to its technical characteristics will be able to compete hypercar Bugatti Veyron, will be held on March 30 this year. Note that previously a novelty in the studio had planned to bring to the Motor Show in Geneva, but the machine did not appear on the show - it did not have time to prepare.

   Supercar to be built on a lengthened by 60 centimeters and 30 centimeters of the expanded platform sports car Lotus Exige S, but its mass will be only 1,086 kilograms. Rear-wheel
Coupe Hennessey Venom GT will be equipped with an eight petrol engine, which will be available in three capacities - 725, 1000 and 1200 horsepower. The motor can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

   According to preliminary data, a thousand strong version of Venom GT supercar from zero to 96 miles an hour drive away for 2.2 seconds, to 160 - over 5.3 seconds, to 240 - over 8.9 seconds and to 320 - for 14,3 seconds. Its top speed is about 420 kilometers per hour. For comparison, the 1001-strong all-wheel drive Bugatti Veyron to the "hundreds" of 2.5 seconds faster, and its "maximum speed" is equal to 407 kilometers per hour.

   Dynamic characteristics for the 725 - and 1200-strong version of "Venom" has not yet reported.

   It is expected that the U.S. prices for novelty will begin from 600 thousand dollars. 1200-strong modification of the Hennessey Venom GT will cost 725 thousand dollars.
