"European" Kia Optima (Magentis) has allowed to glance under the hood

2011 Kia Optima.jpg   Journalists were able to learn more about the European versions sedan Kia Optima new generation, which in some markets is known as the Magentis.

   In Europe, the model Kia Optima, debuted at the International Auto Show in New       York last week, will only appear next spring, although in the U.S. and South Korea, sales of rival Ford Mondeo and Citroen C5 will begin later this year. In American showrooms will be two versions of the car, equipped gasoline engines output 203 and 278 hp, and then appear and hybrid modification.


   European motorists will be able to choose between the 2-liter gasoline engine and VGT turbo diesel engine capacity of 1.7 liters. Information on the technical characteristics of both units will do later. In the markets of Eastern Europe Kia Optima arrive with 178-horsepower "engine" MPI volume 2.4 liters, delivery model with engine capacity of 278 hp automaker has not yet planned.

   Depending on the configuration and propulsion Korean sedan will be equipped with either a six-speed manual gearbox or six-speed "automatic" from under the steering "petals".
