BMW and Volvo will leave Americans without wagons

Company BMW and Volvo have decided to abandon the sale of the North American market models with the wagon. Instead, both the producer are going to focus on promoting crossovers.

At Volvo V70 wagon has already wiped out from his own line of the 2011 model year due to the fact that over the past six years, the demand for this model has fallen more than five times. If in 2004 the U.S. sold more
than 10 thousand such vehicles, but last year this figure barely reached into the mark in the 1800 cars.

The situation with the BMW 5-Series wagon with the body turned out to be even worse - for the last year in the U.S. were sold only about a thousand of such cars. With that in just 12 months in America were sold for more than 40 thousands of "fives". Crossover BMW X5 in the same period sold 27 thousand units, and X3 - more than 6000 pieces.

Therefore, according to some sources, wagon BMW 5-Series next-generation debut of which took place in March, the U.S. no longer appears.
